The sauna facilities were a welcome retreat after a long day.
I was incredibly disappointed with the bed situation—two twin beds pushed together instead of a proper double. It made for an uncomfortable night. Additionally, the air conditioning was malfunctioning, leading to a restless evening, and I had to call reception at 2 AM to resolve it. Lastly, the breakfast options lacked variety and quality, leaving a lot to be desired.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Messmer. The location is superb, being right in the heart of Bregenz near shops and the beautiful Bodensee. The breakfast was a standout feature, offering a varied selection including fresh local produce and the option for fried eggs, which was delightful.

Couple’s Trip Worth It
The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the lake and all those nice dining spots around. I borrowed an e-bike from the hotel to check out the Bodensee shore, smooth rides with a stunning view.
Not the cheapest option, though still acceptable for what you get.
